This roomy cottage was the perfect home base for our Bethany Beach adventures. The beds were comfortable, water pressure great, and there were plenty of dishes and pots and pans. I would choose this host again without hesitation. Communication was quick and clear.

We stayed for 6 nights in August and had a great experience overall. The location was excellent — an easy walk into town — and the parking pass was incredibly helpful. We were able to find a spot right in front of the beach every day, which was a huge convenience. The house had some wear and tear, and we eventually gave up on getting the upstairs TVs to work. The property managers did try to help us, but ultimately it just wasn’t worth the effort. That said, the house was very comfortable overall. We especially loved the fenced-in yard for our dog and the hot tub. The downstairs game room was also a lot of fun — we played plenty of ping pong! The layout is a little unusual, but it worked well for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Our family of four slept upstairs, while the two grandparents stayed downstairs. Upstairs, the kids loved the huge double shower, and the walk-through closet provided plenty of space for all of us. There are a few things to be aware of with the downstairs layout. You have to walk through the bunk room to get to the bedroom behind it, which is at the front of the house, so we didn’t end up using the bunks. The shower in that bedroom is also not separated from the rest of the small bathroom. Additionally, the ground-level bedroom can only be accessed from outside. None of this was a problem for us, but it’s helpful to know ahead of time depending on your group. The kitchen was in great condition and very well stocked. We barely needed to buy any extra paper products during our stay. There were also several functional, though well-used, bikes and beach chairs available. We really appreciated having two AC units — one upstairs and one downstairs — which allowed us to adjust the temperature separately for ourselves and the grandparents at night. There are also lots of windows throughout the house, bringing in plenty of natural light, which we really enjoyed. The living and dining area was spacious and comfortable, and it was nice having enough room for everyone to gather and talk while meals were being prepared. The beds were made when we arrived, and there were plenty of towels and linens provided, which was another nice convenience — one less thing to have to think about! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay! The whole family had a great time, and the place was perfect for our beach getaway. We really enjoyed our time in Dewey/Rehoboth Beach and would definitely love to come back next summer. Highly recommend!

This was a very cute little cottage, exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the neighborhood and all of the wonderful places around. The house itself was meticulously clean and updated. The recliners and couch were VERY comfortable. The beds were just okay. A bit firm for our liking but having 2 Kings and the bunk room was perfect for us. The bathrooms were both very nicely done with excellent water pressure and hot water. The AC was definitely kicking, worked great! We were very pleasantly surprised with how many "starter items" were there already. Enough toilet paper and paper towels to last our 4 night stay along with plenty of washer tabs, dryer sheets, dishwasher tabs, soaps and shampoos, etc. W&D were like new and in the cutest little space with some beach towels, an iron and a packable cooler for groceries. The outdoor area was lovely. The shed with beach chairs and some firepit logs was so nice to have! We left our leftover firewood for the next person. The HS turf is right behind the fence so you have to really like whistles in the morning. We loved the fire pit. We could not get the outdoor lights to work but it's okay. One wish would be for outdoor "comfy" seating for reading a book or having a coffee or cocktail. Those chairs at the table and on the front porch are not comfortable at all. I put a blanket on it one day to read but a nice outdoor couch with cushions would be amazing. My 2nd wish would be for real glassware. At minimum a few wine glasses and juice glasses. My wine tasted horrible out of the insulated wine cups. I could have purchased one at the dollar store but i wasn't near it and tried to minimize spending, shopping, etc. Overall, lovely stay and well kept home in a fantastic area.

Our stay at the Relax Shack was very good. It is nestled in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. The place was clean, the beds comfy, and it had everything one would need for a stay away from home. We enjoyed our daily walks and all the neighbors were friendly. The owner takes great care of the property.

We had a wonderful stay at this dog friendly rental home. The house looks just like the pictures. What you first notice when you explore the house is how CLEAN it is! The first floor master bedroom is very spacious with the king bed and had room for a large dog crate. Each bedroom has a walk in closet with shelving which was perfect for storing suitcases and hanging clothes. The best part for the dogs was the fenced in back yard. Plenty of room for throwing a tennis ball. Our dogs were living their best life out there! The kids enjoyed the top floor which features a bedroom and living area with tv. Would highly recommend this home!

Carpets in bedrooms could use a good cleaning. Baseboards in master bathroom & ceiling as well. Otherwise, very nice home in a quiet/safe neighborhood. We had a good stay here and would rent again. Appreciated the extra beach towels, bikes, cooler, and chairs. Communication was prompt! Thanks!

The Dockside Escape is the true definition of peace and tranquility. Nestled right beside the canal, the setting is absolutely beautiful and incredibly relaxing—perfect for unwinding and enjoying quality time with family. Our family had an exceptional stay and couldn't have been happier with the experience. The property was exactly as described, clean, comfortable, and in a wonderful location. A special thank you to the DEL302 management team, who were outstanding throughout our stay. They were incredibly responsive to all of our questions and made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. We highly recommend The Dockside Escape and would gladly stay here again. We had a great week with family at Nolen’s Nest. The house is beautiful and clean. A perfect setup for a group! The kitchen had everything needed to cook at home. The garage area game room was a hit and got a lot of use! One of our sons is stationed in Dover, so We plan to save this listing for our next visit to the area.
